Asian Pacific CultureFest

About the Event:

Asian Pacific CultureFest is back! We’ve been planning and working on this project for months and we’re excited to share some details with all of you!

Expanding on the popularity of last year’s inaugural event, the 2023 celebration will feature more than 120 arts, crafts, food, and community vendors, a pop-up visual art gallery, more than a dozen food trucks, traditional and contemporary stage performances, and more.

Asian Pacific CultureFest serves to celebrate and uplift the diversity of Asian American and Pacific Islander arts, culture, heritage, and contributions throughout the Sacramento region, and kicks off national observances of May as Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Krispcookieco: Lucky Leprechaun

About this class:

Join Alanna at The Creative Space Sac in Midtown Sacramento on SATURDAY March 4th from 6:30-8:00 pm to learn the basics of decorating beautiful sugar cookies with royal icing.

This class is a beginner level class for all skill levels and all ages (though I recommend older kids only). We will move at a comfortable pace and there will be plenty of hands on teaching to help you really learn the skills.

Each class will provide you with everything needed to create 4 full size edible masterpieces plus boxes to transport them safely home – all you need to do is be there!

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class to find parking and your seat, and mingle before class starts. We will need the full 1.5 hours to decorate!

You may bring outside food and drinks (including alcohol so long as it is used responsibly and does not cause any disruptions in the class). Mask requirements may or may not be in place at the discretion of The Creative Space. I will notify you of any changes to policy.

PLEASE NOTE: This class size will be restricted to 24 people to allow for adequate distancing. Masks may be required during class. Hand sanitizer will be available at each table for your convenience.

**Some items will be shared during the class.**

Magical Makers Pop-Up

About the Event:

We have our fan-favorite Magical Makers on March 4th! Disney is celebrating their 100 Years of Wonder, so you know that we’ll have some extra magic sprinkled throughout the day for that! Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post where we tell you how to enter our giveaway for a special popcorn bucket!

Krispcookieco: Lucky Clover

About this class:

Join Alanna at The Creative Space Sac in Midtown Sacramento on FRIDAY March 3rd from 6:30-8:30 pm to go beyond the basics and learn fun techniques for decorating beautiful sugar cookies with royal icing.

This class is an advanced beginner to intermediate level. We will move at a moderate pace and familiarity with piping is recommended but not required.

Each class will provide you with everything needed to create 4 full size edible masterpieces plus boxes to transport them safely home – all you need to do is be there!

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class to find parking and your seat, and mingle before class starts. We will need the full 2 hours to decorate!

This class is sure to be a holiday hit! We’ll do lots of royal icing techniques and even some hand painting.

Magical Makers Pop-Up

About the Event:

October is here and we’re so excited for our Magical Makers Pop-up coming up in just a few weeks! This time around we have some new features we’re adding to our event!

🎃Costume contest: It’ll be held from 12-1PM and there’s a category for adults, kids, and pets! The vendors are the judges! So be sure to wear your best Disney costume, stop by each booth to collect some candy, and get a score from each vendor! Winners will receive some spooktacular prizes! The pet with the best costume will receive an awesome bandana from @barkinbybrit !

*This is a family friendly event, so please keep costumes family friendly!

📸We’re bringing out some of our favorite spooky backdrops for this event, too! It’ll be a day to remember!

Fall Food and Craft Fair @ SASF

About this event:

We’re so excited to FINALLY announce our upcoming event: Fall Food and Craft Fair! On September 24th, The Creative Space is partnering with influencer Ashley Newell for a fun-filled afternoon benefiting Unravel.

“Unravel is a 501(c)3 nonprofit working to bridge the gap in funding pediatric cancer research…Unlike the typical grant funding model, Unravel gives unrestricted funds to innovative pediatric cancer researchers, which removes barriers and accelerates the development of more effective and less toxic treatments for children with cancer.” - Unravel

Pop Culture Pop-Up at the California Museum

About this event:

We’re so excited to share our next event! We’re collaborating with the California Museum for a three part series of night time pop-ups at the museum! It’ll be on the third Thursday of each month from 4-8PM! There will be food vendors, artists, makers, guided tours, a live DJ, and more!

The kickoff for the series is on Thursday, September 15th, Thursday, where we’ll be highlighting Pop Culture inspired and the many exhibits of pop culture in CA history through the CA Museum’s. Come out and support 20 local Pop culture inspired vendors while visiting the CA Museum at a discounted price!

Women Owned Businesses Pop-Up at the California Museum

About this event:

The second installment of our three-event Summer Soiree series is just around the corner! Tickets are on sale now for our Thursday, August 18 event themed around women. In addition to pop-up shops from local businesses owned or co-owned by women, we'll have food, wine and craft beer for purchase, DJ and other entertainment, and free docent-led tours focused on women. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved in advance at link in bio. Limited quantities of tickets also will be available at the door. Those arriving between 4-5 pm get early access to vendor booths and museum exhibits, plus $2 off drink tickets purchased during that hour.

If you're ready to wow your friends with new cheeseboard skills, or learn all the tips on how to make an epic charcuterie board, this class is for you! You will learn the basics of cheese selection, cutting techniques, and board layout as well as some intermediate skills including creating beautiful salami roses and fruit carving. You will be guided step by step as you create your own 10” cheese plate that serves 2-3 people. We will offer pairing suggestions, as well as guidance and tips on how to create the most beautiful and delicious charcuterie board.
